Tuscarawas County has readily embraced this trend, positioning itself at the forefront of high-tech implementation. Two examples include: the installation of fiber optic lines throughout the city of Dover, and the state-of-the-art technology used by Kent State University Tuscarawas to facilitate three types of distance-learning as well as hands-on technical instruction.

Prioritizing Education
Recognized as one of the fastest growing campuses in Ohio, Kent State University Tuscarawas is a part of Kent State’s eight-campus network. This enables the campus to offer all the resources of a major research university in a small college atmosphere. Students can earn Associates and Bachelors degrees in an array of programs as well as a Master of Technology Degree.

The new Science and Advanced Technology Center will house science and nursing programs as well as workforce development and customized training. Tuscarawas County is also home to nine public and four parochial school districts, as well as the Buckeye Career Center.
